This forum aims to strengthen cooperation among the seven territories of the Pyrenean bioregion—Occitanie, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, Aragon, Catalonia, Navarre, the Basque Country and Andorra—by gathering local, national and European stakeholders to share experiences and forge new partnerships.

As the inaugural meeting of the European LIFE PYRENEES4CLIMA project, it seeks to make the Pyrenees a resilient cross-border territory in the face of climate change. Experts from all seven regions will present projects and results; panel debates will explore adaptation strategies for tourism, agriculture, forestry and pastoralism. Public-outreach events—including film screenings and intergenerational dialogues with youth groups and the “Grand-parents for the Climate” movement—will raise awareness of climate issues.

Field trips, workshops and exhibitions will round out the program, showcasing practical adaptation experiments and inspiring case studies.

Participants include researchers from the Pyrenean Ecology Institute (CSIC), the Polytechnic University of Madrid, the CNRS (France), the Biosphere-Space Studies Center (CESBIO), Météo-France and natural-area managers from both sides of the border.

Hosted by Occitanie—which holds the presidency of the Pyrenean Working Community (CTP) through the end of 2025—the event is free, with prior registration required.
