Jaca, September 17th, 2018. In the framework of the event Les Pyrénéennes, the Pyrenean Climate Change Observatory (OPCC) of the Working Community of the Pyrenees (CTP) organized last September 14th in Saint-Gaudens a workshop about climate change impacts on agropastoralism and a round table about the possibilities of adapting to these impacts.
Mitigation and adaptation to climate change are two sides of the same coin. Mitigation groups a series of measures limiting the emission of greenhouse gases into the atmosphere.
The purpose of the contract is the development of a database of good practices of climate change adaptation in the territory of the CTP. This database will be the information bases for the creation of an online catalog of good practices, integrated in the tools section of the OPCC2 information portal, aming to facilitate decision-making on climate change adaptation in the Pyrenees.
