On Tuesday, June 26, the first preparation meeting of the MONTCLIMA project took place in Derio (Vizcaya). This project will be presented to the first phase of the third call of the SUDOE programme next September.
The CTP, through the OPCC area, has become a beneficiary partner of the PHUSICOS project, submitted to the European H2020. The OPCC attended the Kick off meeting of the PHUSICOS project in Oslo.
The European mountain research network, NEMOR of which the OPCC is a member, was launched on May 30, 2018 through a public event in Barcelona. NEMOR is led by CREAF from Catalonia,and aims to enhance research in mountain areas to promote a sustainable adaptive and resilient development.
On May 29, 2018 the OPCC organized jointly with the Government of Andorra the workshop "Climate change: new opportunities for agriculture?" within the OPCC2 project.
Within the POCTEFA FLORAPYR project, researchers of the University of Barcelona have coordinated the installation of passive heating devices known as Open Top Chambers (OTC) during the summer of 2017. These devices produce a slight temperature increase, which makes predictions possible on the short-medium term concerning the vegetation under study, in the context of current climate change.
Last Tuesday, June 19, a working meeting among the Representatives of the Climate Change Observatory (OPCC) took place to discuss about the Observatory's strategy and its horizontal coordination with the forthcoming Pyrenean Strategy of the Pyrenees Working Community (EPI).
