At the event, the OPCC and its partners in the Life Pyrenees4Climate programme will explain how cross-border cooperation has made it possible to create a coordinated strategy that has been successfully implemented.
The event will also see the first presentation of the results of several decades of observation and monitoring of the cryosphere in the Pyrenees.
Within the framework of the LifePyrennes4Clima programme, Pyrenees in transition, the Cross-border Forum on Adaptation to Climate Change in Mountain Areas 2025, will take place from 18 to 20 June.
The LIFE PYRENEES4CLIMA project, an ambitious cross-border cooperation initiative for climate action, has made significant progress during its initial implementation phase. With the participation of 40 beneficiary partners and a comprehensive approach to climate change adaptation, the project aims to make a transformative impact in the Pyrenean region.
The Observatorio Pirenaico del Cambio Climático is actively involved in the MOUNTADAPT project, an initiative financed by the European Union, through its Horizon Europe “Climate, Energy and Mobility” program, aims at strengthening healthcare systems in mountain regions across Europe.
