Good morning everyone,

This year's first newsletter has just arrived with the latest news from the previous quarter. First of all, we are pleased and proud to announce that OPCC2 will continue through the new Poctefa OPCC- ADAPYR project, which will last until mid-2022.

Last year, the OPCC celebrated one of its major periodic events by organizing its 3rd Colloquium on Climate Change in Mountain Areas. This colloquium, held in Jaca last October, served as the final point of the Poctefa OPCC2 project and its associated projects dealing with the challenges of climate change in the Pyrenees. At this colloquium, we presented our second report "Climate Change in the Pyrenees: Impacts, Vulnerabilities and Adaptation"; as well as a report of the conclusions of the colloquium.

We ended the year with the presence of the OPCC at COP25 in Madrid under the presidency of Chile.  There, we had the honour of participating in the side event entitled "Local adaptation to climate change in mountain municipalities - Principles and practices of territories".

OPCC's action against climate change does not forget its necessary link with the 7th art, by associating us with the "Mobile Film Festival", an international short film festival whose theme last year was "Act now on climate change".

Finally, and without forgetting the global monitoring of climate change, we would like to tell you that the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) recently published its latest report on the impact of global warming on the oceans and the cryosphere (SORCC). You will find a summarized version in this newsletter.

Enjoy!
